Muddy Puddles Childcare is a small scale childcare setting with a maximum of just 15 children per day. We are based in a single story converted barn located in 100 acres of peaceful countryside near Helston, west Cornwall, blessed with wonderful fresh air and outdoor resources - the perfect environment for your child to learn and play with free flow access to our outdoor facilities at all times.
At Muddy Puddles we believe that children learn through play and with this in mind we use natural resources such as wooden blocks, sand, water, soil and mud. We follow Government guidance and encourage progress using the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). Research shows that preschool development of communication and language skills is important to later achievement, as is developing a good “learning disposition”. We therefore spend time talking, particularly at mealtimes, where we all eat together. We also encourage children to be co-operative, sharing, show perseverance and resilience, all of which is important to their ongoing development. Fundamentally though, we want your child to enjoy their time with us, make friends, be safe and be happy!
